Greg Bodeker attended a GRUAN/WIGOS meeting in Geneva on 17 and 18 November. The purpose of the meeting was to strengthen the ties between GRUAN and WIGOS and, more generally, to the rest of WMO. There is a wide range of activity under way in GRUAN that would be beneficial to the wider Global Observing System and it was agreed that more should be done to ensure that this value accruing within GRUAN is disseminated more widely. The meeting was seen as very constructive and that similar meetings should be held biennially. Greg's attendance at the meeting was funded by the WMO.

On the way back from Geneva Greg attended the New Zealand Meteorological Society conference in Raglan where he gave a presentation titled "Diagnosing stratospheric dynamics from long-duration balloon flights".  Click here for more details on the conference.
