Greg Bodeker attends Symposium on Meteorological Observation and Instrumentation

Greg Bodeker attended the American Meteorological Society (AMS) 17th Symposium on Meteorological Observation and Instrumentation from 11 to 13 June 2014 in Westminster, Colorado, and gave a talk titled "A Demonstration of the Scientific Value of GRUAN Data: the use of GRUAN Uncertainty Estimates in Trend Analyses". That talk is available hereThe meeting had a strong focus on the methods used to quality control the measurements made within meteorological surface networks. The full agenda for the meeting is available here. It was clear from this meeting that the New Zealand national climate database could benefit from more thorough QA/QC procedures.
