Greg Bodeker attended the 8th GRUAN Implementation and Coordination (ICM-8) meeting in Boulder, Colorado, from 25-29 June.  These annual meetings provide a stock-take of progress within GRUAN to date, a forum for discussion of GRUAN actions currently under way, and an opportunity to discuss what needs to be done over the course of the next year to progress the establishment of GRUAN.  More information on ICM-8 is available here

Following ICM-8 Greg attended the 2016 ESA (European Space Agency) Living Planet Symposium in Prague from 9-13 May.  These meetings are held every three years and provide a venue for presentations and discussion around activities happening within ESA.  There were around 3,350 attendees at this meeting.  While in Prague Greg had discussions with Dr. Maurice Boregeaud, the Head of the ESA Earth Observation Department on developments in the establishment of the Centre for Space Science Technology in New Zealand.  More information on the Living Planet Symposium is available here.
