Greg Bodeker attended the 4th International Radio Occultation Working Group in Melbourne from 20 to 22 April 2015. He attended the meeting on behalf of GRUAN with the goal of establishing closer ties between the radio occultation community and the climate monitoring community. To this end he gave a presentation titled "An overview of the GCOS Reference Upper-Air Network (GRUAN) and links to the radio occultation community".

In connection with GRUAN's ties to this community, Jordis Tradowsky, a PhD student at Bodeker Scientific, will work as a visiting scientist at the UK Met Office in September and October of this year on using numerical weather prediction model output to better intercompare radio occultation and GRUAN data.
